This week has been very hot and today ‘s forecast is to be one of the hottest this year. Please reduce exposure to the sun as much as possible and stay in the shade.  Take special care to watch young children, vulnerable persons and pets.  If you need a place to cool off for a spell stop by the township office for a bottle of cold water and a little air-conditioned comfort today or tomorrow.

Starting next week through out the County and many areas in Ontario you will be required to wear a non-medical mask in enclosed public space.  Please refer to the Renfrew County Health Units web page https://www.rcdhu.com/ for more information.

Starting  July 13, 2020, the Township will again be closing its doors to the public. With the new mask protocol and the Townships desire to keep everyone safe and not to disrupt service there will be a service window for all Township business.  The window will be located at the centre of the Township office with signage to channel the resident to the window.  By taking this action all residents can be served without the requirement for a mask. If the requirement to wear a mask goes on for an extended period of time a shelter will be erected at the window.

Gravel roads are getting a little dusty as there is little moisture to keep dust suppressants working. Rain will reinvigorate treatments that have been applied to gravel roads.  Roadside cutting is ongoing, resident should take extra caution in areas where people play or animals cross.

Campfires are a nice way to enjoy a summer evening, 2’ X 2’ X 2’ campfires are permitted.  Check our website www.nalgonawil.com regularly as conditions change rapidly at times.
