Friday July 17th, we enter phase three of the provinces reopening plan. Many restrictions are being lifted or modified. Please check the provinces website or click the link below for more information. https://files.ontario.ca/mof-framework-reopening-province-stage-3-en-2020-07-13-v2.pdf

Renfrew County and District Health Unit has implemented a directive requiring a mask to be worn in all public enclosed spaces. Please check the health unit’ s website https://www.rcdhu.com/ for more information.

The Township office is again closing its doors to the public to ensure the safety of the public and staff. The office will remain open and the public can still access Township services and inquiries through our new customer window that allows public access without the requirement for wearing a mask (wearing a mask is still recommended).

Children can again enjoy play structures such as swings and slides starting on Monday July 20th. Parents are reminded to watch that children physical distance along with sanitizing their hands before they get on playground equipment and when they get off.

Tax bills are in the process of being mailed out.  Please pay taxes promptly if you are able, there may be those who will have trouble paying this year and having others pay on time helps the Township with the required cash flow to maintain services, keep roads safe and parks open.

Recent rains have helped considerably however, the township still has a fire ban. Small campfires are permitted, residents are asked to be very careful and keep campfires to the 2 x 2 x 2 size.

The Township Cottage still has several open weeks available for rental.  This year the cottage has received several upgrades and is an extremely good deal at $800.00 a week.

All Township beaches and boat launches are open.  Washrooms at Melissa Bishop Park and the Golden Lake Community Centre are open to the public this year during day-time hours.

Summer is passing quickly, get out and enjoy our great outdoors and lakes.  Take time to get a bite at one of our fine eateries that now can expand their serving capacity with the lifting of some restrictions.  Also shop local, there are quite a few places that are fully open again.

We are a Township without a downtown but you will find our merchants down to earth.
