NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PUBLIC MEETING

In the matter of Section 34 of the Planning Act, North Algona Wilberforce Township hereby gives NOTICE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  1. i) Application to amend the Zoning By-law (04-97) oftheformer Township of Wilberforce.

Part of Lot 12, Concession 13, in the geographic Township of Wilberforce, now in North Algona Wilberforce Township, and described more particularly as Part 1 on Reference Plan 49R-11895, as shown on the attached Key Map.

A public meeting to inform the public of the proposed zoning amendment will be held virtually on October 5, 2021 at 6:50 p.m. A link to the meeting will be included on the October 5, 2021 Council agenda.

If you wish to speak at the Public Meeting, you are asked to register in advance no later than 3:00 p.m. on October 4, 2021 by email at clerk@nalgonawil.com or by phone at 613628-2080.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, written submissions may be submitted to the Clerk at clerk@nalgonawil.com before 3:00 p.m. on October 4, 2021.

Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment

The purpose and effect of the amendment is to rezone a vacant property from Rural (RU) to General Commercial — Exception Four (GC-E4) to permit a mini storage establishment. The exception zone is to provide relief for formal parking to permit parking adjacent to the storage buildings. All other provisions of the Zoning By-law shall apply.

Additional information regarding the Zoning By-law Amendment is available for inspection at the North Algona Wilberforce Township Municipal Office during regular office hours

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the North Algona Wilberforce Township on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the North Algona Wilberforce Township.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the North Algona Wilberforce Township to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the North Algona Wilberforce Township before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the North Algona Wilberforce Township before the by-law is passed by the North Algona Wilberforce Township, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Accordingly, all written submissions, documents, correspondence, emails or other communications (including your name and address) form part of the public record and will be disclosed/made available by the Municipality to such persons as the Municipality sees fit, including anyone requesting such information. Accordingly, in providing such information, you shall be deemed to have consented to its use and disclosure as part of the planning process.
