DESCRIPTION:\n20 October,2025\nPress Release\nFire Department Training Is Coming To Local Area\nNorth Algona Wilberforce Township has been selected to host the Mobile Live Fire Training Unit (MLFTU) between 29 Oct, 2025 and 2 Nov, 2025.\nOntario has two Mobile Live Fire Training Units to enhance firefighter training across the province.  These purpose built, portable training facilities are provided and operated by the Ontario Fire College (OFC).  The units use propane fired training props to provide firefighters realistic fire conditions: flames, heat, humidity, low visibility, and smoke.\nThese units aim to provide high-quality, hands-on training directly to fire services in all regions, supporting safer communities.\nOver 120 firefighters from 13 local municipalities are expected to participate over the five days of operation.\n \nKevin Champ\nFire Chief\nNorth Algona Wilberforce FD\n613-633-9100\nfirechief@nalgonawil.com\n
