Congratulations to Val Hinsperger for receiving the 2025 Ontario Senior Achievement Award.
Valerie Hinsperger has made wide‑ranging contributions to Renfrew County and the Ottawa Valley. As co‑owner of the Bonnechere Caves, she has helped create a beloved attraction that educates thousands and provides meaningful local employment. Val has also dedicated herself to ensuring older adults have access to recreational opportunities that keep them healthy and connected, including coordinating the Summer and Winter Seniors Games. She is active in the Eganville and Area Horticultural Society, the Ottawa Valley Food Co‑op, and is part of the Therapeutic touch team for those undergoing care at the Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care in Barry’s Bay. Her commitment continues to uplift the community.
