Melissa Bishop Park is situated on the shore of Lake Doré. The park is named after an Olympic 800-meter runner, Melissa Bishop. Melissa grew up in North Algona Wilberforce and spent her summers on Lake Doré.
Melissa Bishop Park is a hub for recreation and activities in NAW. The park has a beach (no lifeguards), playground, gazebo, volleyball court, and a baseball diamond! You can often find NAW’s mobile ‘Activity Hub’ at Melissa Bishop Park. The mobile ‘Activity Hub’ houses kayaks and paddleboards that can be accessed for free through the hub!
Within a 10-minute drive, you can explore a number of local businesses and attractions.
Melissa Bishop Park also has a community cottage space that can be rented and accessed through the township.
