June 16, 2023 | Zebra Mussel Clean Up

Join your neighbours next Friday, June 16 for a zebra mussel cleanup! Learn about invasive species and help our lakes get healthy. Lake Dore is suffering from a zebra mussel invasion, which negatively impacts fish and bird populations, as well as native plant species. It also makes swimming and watersports unpleasant as the small shells coat the lake bottom with sharp shards.

A limited number of buckets are available and disposable gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! Wear water shoes for your safety. Meet at Melissa Bishop Park, 28C Township Park Road, at the beach, at 4 pm!
